How to choose which Eloqua training is best for you

Before you jump into any Eloqua training certification, you should consider which program is right for you. Here are a few things to consider when choosing training for you.

Your experience

If you’ve never used Eloqua, the best place to start is with the Explorer training so that you can learn the basics. However, if you know the basics, you can move on to the more advanced programs.

You may find the beginner program unnecessary, and it’s not a requirement for the other training options. If you have a lot of experience, you can choose a learning path that builds from that experience.

Your position

As a marketing operations leader, the Eloqua Marketing Operations Expert training is an excellent place to start. However, if you have team members who should learn about the tool, you should first consider their current roles and the sort of training that will enhance their skills and ability to contribute to productivity and efficiency.

You can assign the creative program to designers and writers. And you have your data science team go through the analytics program.

Your goals

Next, think about what you want yourself or your team members to learn. While most of the training options require an Oracle Learning Subscription, you can view the program outline.

Determine who should go through which program to make sure employees will learn things that can help them with their jobs so that they can help reach you overall marketing goals.

Your schedule

Another thing to consider is the time commitment, especially if training needs to be done outside of work. Consider how much time you and your employees have each day or week for the training and decide how fast you want the training to be completed.

Then, you can figure out which training will be best for your schedule. If you need to go through a longer program, you can also figure out which modules are most important so that you can still fit everything into your week.

Your budget

Lastly, you should consider how much you or your company can spend on this training. The Eloqua Explorer is free, but the rest require a subscription.

Think about how many employees may need a subscription and for how long. That way, you can determine if you or your company can afford it.

Where will you start?

Eloqua is an excellent tool for marketing automation, but it can be confusing at first. If you want yourself or your employees to use the program, you should consider the best training resources out there.

Oracle, the company behind Eloqua, offers an excellent library of training, so you can choose the best ones for you. Just make sure you start with the training that will benefit you the most, and you can go through the others later.
