Enterprise marketing is moving toward a new campaign operating model: AI agents handle production, while people direct strategy, manage exceptions, and oversee approvals.

For that model to work, AI needs more than the ability to create drafts. It needs the campaign context and controls required to move work toward activation.

Stensul’s September release brings enterprises closer to that model by applying governance across both AI agents and humans on a continuous basis, from templates, imagery, tracking, audience logic, and brand checks through approval.

Building blocks for the campaign workflow ahead

The September release adds three capabilities enterprises can use today:

AI agents can complete more campaign work through the Stensul MCP. Agents can start from a Workfront brief, select an appropriate Stensul template or approved email, add approved imagery, generate alt text, apply tracking parameters, create content for predefined audience segments, and preview the resulting email before handoff.

Designers create modules in Figma, Stensul makes them re-usable for AI and people. Authorized designers can create new modules and publish them directly to the Stensul library. Marketers and AI agents can then use those modules within the governance rules and access permissions established by the organization. Each design becomes a reusable campaign asset without an administrator having to rebuild it.

Extended QA automation catches errors earlier. Administrators set the requirements, and automation flags mistakes such as missing subject lines and stray placeholder text. By catching these issues at the point of creation, marketers can avoid costly rebuild and review cycles later.

Together, these capabilities connect steps that are typically separated across briefs, AI tools, design files, campaign builders, and review processes.

Marketing Operations establishes approved starting points and requirements once. Marketers, designers, and AI agents can then create within those boundaries.

AI that contributes to real campaign production

The Milwaukee Bucks are already seeing what this operating model can make possible.

“With Stensul, our AI can now handle images, links, and copy for our pre-templated emails,” said Justin Price, Multichannel Marketing Leader at the Milwaukee Bucks. “Completing these requests more efficiently via MCP allows our team to invest even more time in multichannel creative campaigns.”

This is the shift enterprise marketing teams are working toward: AI shoulders more of the production work, while people focus on strategy, judgment, and exceptions.

With a governance layer operating across the tools enterprises already use, campaign volume and personalization can grow without production effort growing alongside them.
