Brief to draft
Hand your assistant a brief, as a file or from Adobe Workfront, and get a governed first draft in the right library.
You need
- Stensul connected to your AI host (quickstarts).
- For Workfront: the Adobe Workfront MCP server connected to the same host.
From a file
Attach the brief (a .docx or PDF works well) and prompt:
Build a Stensul email from the attached brief. Use the <library name> library.
Follow the brief's audience, message, call to action and tone. Use the brief's
copy where it gives exact wording. Show me a preview and list anything you
couldn't fit.
Uploading usually keeps formatting such as bold better than pasting the text.
From Adobe Workfront
Get the email brief from the Workfront project "<project name>", field
"<field name>". Build a Stensul draft from it in the <library name> library,
then show me a preview.
What to know:
- The brief must be in Workfront fields. The assistant reads field values, not documents attached to a task. For an attached brief, download it and use the file route.
- Name the project and field. The assistant won’t search Workfront on its own. If a project has several briefs, you get a list to pick from.
What the assistant does
- Reads the brief.
- Picks a library (or uses the one you named) and an approved template or email to start from.
- Reads that starting point’s structure and guardrails.
- Builds the draft in one call: copy, buttons, images, alt text, subject line and preheader where the library allows them.
- Reports what it applied, what Stensul declined, and the edit link.
Where it stops today
- It builds from templates your team approved. A layout that doesn’t exist yet has to be created in Stensul first.
- Character limits are enforced; line lengths aren’t. Long copy can still overflow a one-line slot, so look at the preview.
- It doesn’t send. Review and send from Stensul.
Tip: name things so assistants can find them
The more descriptive your library, template and email names, the better the assistant matches them to a brief.
