Read it first

Install it in Claude, start a chat and say **"Set up my workflow."** It asks one question at a time, connects what it needs, and leaves your team with a skill that runs your own brief-to-email flow.

## What it does

**Learns how you work**

Where requests come from, how you spot one that's ready, who writes the copy, which template you start from, who hears when a draft is ready and how review edits come back. It reads the real projects and statuses from your tools instead of asking you to type them.

**Connects your tools**

Stensul first, then your project tool (Adobe Workfront, Asana, Wrike, Jira, Monday and others), where briefs and brand files live, and Slack, Teams or email for notifications. When a step needs an admin, it writes the message for you to send.

**Writes your team its own skill**

A `<team>-brief-to-email` skill with your sources, template, naming, notifications and rules built in. Next time you just ask: **"What emails do we need to build?"**

**Builds your first email**

It runs your new skill on a real brief and builds a draft in Stensul. Anything you'd change goes back into your skill as a rule.

At the end it can set up a scheduled task that checks for new requests every weekday morning, or every hour in work hours, and has drafts waiting, applies review edits and tells the right people.

## Who it's for

| You are | What you get |
| --- | --- |
| A marketer or email builder | The guided setup above. No technical knowledge needed. |
| IT, security or ops | Plain answers on sign-in, single sign-on, user provisioning, AI gateways, permissions and cost tracking, plus a review brief and a pilot plan. |
| A developer or platform team | Auth, gateways, what Stensul exposes and how to hand off from your own platform. |

## Install it in Claude

You need a Claude plan with Skills and code execution turned on. See [Use skills in Claude](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/12512180).

**Download the zip**

Keep it zipped.

**Upload it**

In Claude, go to **Customize > Skills**, click **+**, then **Create skill > Upload a skill**, and choose the zip.

**Turn it on and start**

Toggle the skill on, open a new chat and say **"Set up my workflow."**

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner can share the skill with the whole organization so nobody has to install it.

Using Claude Code? Unzip it into `~/.claude/skills/`.

## Before you start

> **Stensul doesn't have to be connected yet**
>
> If it isn't, the skill writes the messages for your Stensul admin and Claude admin, writes your team's skill anyway, and builds the first email once you're connected. Say **"Resume my workflow setup"** to pick up where you left off. The admin steps are in [Connect Claude](https://stensul.com/developers/quickstart/claude/).

- **Drafts only.** It never sends, schedules or approves an email. That stays in Stensul.
- **It asks first.** It asks before changing anything in your tools or posting a message during setup, and it never deletes anything.
- **It acts as you.** Each tool uses your own sign-in, so it can only see and do what you already can.

## Another AI assistant?

The setup runs in Claude. If your team mostly uses another assistant, the skill gives you the same rules as plain instructions to paste into it. To connect Stensul there, see [Integrations](https://stensul.com/developers/integrations/).
