# Get access

> How to turn on the Stensul MCP server for your account, what to have ready, and what there isn't yet.

Source: https://stensul.com/developers/early-access/

- It works against your company's own Stensul instance.
- There's no public sandbox or trial account yet.

## Already a Stensul customer
Ask your Stensul customer success manager to turn on the MCP for your account. They switch on the external API and the admin permission your Stensul admin needs. Then follow the guide for your host.

Not sure whether the MCP is on for your company, or who your customer success manager is? Email help@stensul.com from your work address. Once it's on, the [config generator](https://stensul.com/developers/config/) writes a message you can send your Stensul admin.

## Not a Stensul customer yet
Request access with the form on https://stensul.com/connect/ (the same form this page loads).

## Have these ready
| Question | Why it matters |
| --- | --- |
| Which AI host your team is approved to use | Setup differs: Copilot uses an agent, Writer needs a secret, ChatGPT needs Developer Mode |
| Who your Stensul admin and host admin are | Each does one step, once |
| The first workflow you want to try | Brief to draft, localization and quality checks are the common starts |
| What your security team will ask | See [Security and data](https://stensul.com/developers/security/) |

## Terms
Use of the Stensul MCP server is covered by Stensul's product-specific terms: https://assets.stensul.com/corp/terms/stensul-product-terms-2026-07.pdf
